Mr. Annamalai was born on August 1, 1945. He
received his Post Graduate degree in Structural Engineering in 1970 from Indian
Institute of Science., Bangalore. He joined Satish Dhawan Space Center, (SHAR)
in 1970 as a design engineer and played a major role in evolving technologies
connected with development of solid booster motors for India satellite launch
vehicles. He was responsible for design and establishment of ground facilities
for integration, testing and qualification of solid propellant motors. He has
also developed an antenna mount for high precision Radars.
As General Manager of
Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre, Mahendragiri Mr. Annamalai was responsible
for the design and installation of ground facilities for testing liquid
propellant engines and stages.
Mr. M Annamalai is presented the ASI Award for the year 1999 in recognition for
his significant contribution to Rocket and Related Technologies. |
